Summer Moments

My youngest sister turned 18 in January. Her friend had posted this pic from a few years back on twitter. Matt noticed an adorable blond haired boy in the background. Time is flying Bubs
Some days you just need to hang out in bed and play on the ipad

Helping me finish my run one evening, notice she is turning into an Aussie- no shoes!
We met a group of kids at the theater to see Frozen. EL fell asleep 15 mins into the movie.
You can never swim too much during the summer break

Play hard, sleep hard!
Keeping me company on the balcony.
Rainbow loom madness is slowly making its way to Australia

Moving On Up!

Some days you just have to laugh at the timing of things. It was a big week at swimming for all 3 kiddos. EL moved up to the full mini squad level. She is in the pool with kids from 4-7 years old. One of her teachers said she can't recall the last time she had a 3 year old at that level. So that would mean EL would be swimming at the same time as DB, just different sides of the pool. However, DB also had a great week as swimming and his teacher moved him up to the next level. He is off to the big pool! 60 mins of swimming several times a week. So that would mean he was swimming at the same time as MA just different sides of the pool. But... Mia got moved up to the next level as well! She will be swimming for 90 mins, starting when Dane's classes finish.
I am super proud of the kids and their hard work in the pool. But I just had to laugh at how close we were to having multiple kids swimming at the same time on the same days. Oh well, good thing we love being outside. Looks like my time watching swimming is going to increase. Good thing I love my kids!!

Fairy Dust

EL brought home some fairy dust from Kindy. She was so excited to go put it out in the garden.

Silly Snaps

MA sends me the funniest snaps. They always put a smile on my face.

Australia Day 2014

Australia Day 2014! We started the day off at Nippers. The kids got to do an obstacle course. Complete with water guns, army crawling thru the trenches, and running. MA finished 1st for the girls and 2nd overall for her age group. The weather was a bit cool and cloudy. There were a couple spots of heavy rain too. The kids didn't seem to mind. DB & MA are getting so much better out in the water on the boogie boards. Even getting the hang of body boarding in the last couple weeks. EL tags along and has fun watching the older ones, patiently waiting until she is old enough to participate.

We spent the afternoon at a friend's house. Kids are so funny with the questions they ask when going some place new. As soon as we walked in, all the kids were off and playing! The adults hung out on the patio and enjoyed the lovely weather. Burgers and sausages for a late lunch seemed fitting for Americans on Australia Day. The kids wanted to swim for a while before breaking out the Disney dancing game on the Xbox. EL loved doing the dances. MA & DB loved boxing their siblings. Even the dads had a go!

Courtside

DB & MA did an all day tennis camp with some friends during the summer break. The weather was all over the place, rain to sun. Both kids had fun, hung out with their friends, & learned some tennis. MA and her friend took full advantage of the down time to have social hour. EL and I hung out all day and watched. She was a good sport about being a spectator and loved the breaks so she had her friend to chat with too!
