Friday Night Lights

Friday night lights here look a little different that what we are used to back in the States. MA decided to join the Swim Club. It is a great atmosphere, friendly, inviting, and supportive. They really encourage the kids to race themselves. We got a book to record her times in each event.

She was so excited to get her cap and togs this week!
After the initial nerves wore off, MA is really enjoying herself. And we as a family are having a great time supporting her and watching everyone swim. Added bonus is they have sausages, cheese toasties, & cup o' noodles so I get out of cooking dinner!

February Moments

Diving!

Just a fun afternoon by the pool. I wish summer would never end!

Valentine's Day

We had to work on our Valentines at swimming to finish them up! The kids had fun handing them out to their friends again this year.
We got a special package from Grandma and Papa. Everyone loved their gifts. Papa Harold and Grandma Carol sent cards which were a huge hit too! Matt sent me beautiful a Tiger Lily bouquet. I made cinnamon rolls from scratch. A romantic evening at swim club completed the day!

Poor Baby

EL was looking at a picture of herself as a newborn. We had photos done when she was just under 2 weeks old. She was naked in them.

EL: Why was I naked Mommy?
Me: Because you were a baby.
EL: I should have clothes on! Was it because you didn't have any clothes for me?

I thought, yep spent our last dime on professional photos. No money left for baby clothes!

Captain Cook

MA had to do a little research for school. She needed to find out when Capt. Cook discovered Australia. DB & EL overheard her asking us about it and had some funny things to say.

DB- Capt Hook is real?!
EL- Did he have a hook?

Explaining Hook and Cook were not the same words & no hooks were involved ( I don't think). Capt Cook discovered Australia on the 6th of May 1770.
