It's time to wash the uniforms and get the backpacks ready to go. This year all 3 kids will be at the same school. Every mum knows this day will come. As much as we look forward to it some days, when it finally arrives, all I want to do is rewind the clock. Make more of the days we had together.
EL is in Prep. In the USA, she would not have started school until Aug 2015. 7 months more I could have had my partner in crime around during the day. But she is so ready for school. That make me happy and proud as a parent. It also made it slightly easier to let go of her hand when we walked into the classroom. My baby is officially in school.
DB was all set and quite happy with his class. Lots of friends and excitement about his teacher.
MA enjoys school and was happy with her teacher too. With several friends starting a new school this year, she was a bit nervous about not having her BFF there. Kids adapt quicker than you think.
Everyone was all smiles when I picked them up. And I was happy to get them all back for the night. They had lots to tell me about their days and loved hearing about each others days as well.
I did not cry! I held up quite well until I was on my way to work. Had the radio on and they played 3 songs in a row that the kids love. And there was no one in the backseat to sing along with me.

Summer Holidays
We only had 3 weeks between our USA trip and the start of a new school year. After a super busy end of the previous school year and our traveling, the kids and I were ready for some quiet days around the house and enjoying the warm weather. We did manage to do some swim training and hit a couple parks.
Collecting their medals from Sprint Night.
Asian Cup 2015
2 American kids, in Australia, escorting the Iran National soccer team, during the Asian Cup in Brisbane. I would have never dreamed up that combination, but it happened. MA & DB had a great time and made memories of a lifetime. DB walked out with #13, MA #14. The players were nice and made the kids feel welcome out on the field. We recorded it on TV and the kids have watched themselves several times. DB didn't crack a smile the entire time on the field. While we waited for the game to start, the mums made ourselves comfortable in the stadium. We found some seats nice and close to relax in.
Water Park
The thing about living in a big city is all the things there are to see and do here. There is a great pool about 20 mins from us I had never been to before. During the school holidays they set up inflatable slides and obstacle courses for the big and small kiddos. We met up with some friends and the kids had a blast! EL loved the obstacle course and DB went down the slide as many times as possible.
