School Ball
DB made the school baseball team. He had so much fun being part of the team and hanging out with the older boys. He got a few opportunities to be pinch runner during the A games. He played outfield and was always cheering the team on if he was not in the lineup.

Broke?!
One weekend this fall we needed to be in 3 separate places at the same time on the same day. MA was playing soccer near Chicago, DB had baseball in Central IL, and EL was in STL for soccer. We opted to send MA up the night before with a teammate with the plan that I would come up Sunday to watch her games. Saturday I would catch DB's doubleheader. Matt took EL to STL.
As I am pulling into DB's game, MA calls me to tell me a trainer will be calling me shortly because she thinks she broke her foot! After some back and forth calls and a couple people looking at it, we decided she was done playing soccer for the weekend but wanted to stay to cheer her team on. I stayed to watch DB play, dropped him off at home that afternoon and drove up to pick MA up. The next day we headed to the local URGO which thankfully has an X-ray tech on staff. After a very long 2 hours, her X-ray was read and it was in fact broke.

DB is 12
DB turned 12. Last birthday before becoming a teenager. He is still sports crazy and always creating something, usually with duct tape. He enjoys science and dislikes reading. And an ice cream cake that is basically a royal oreo blizzard in a pan, is his new favorite birthday treat.
