We started the day off with EL's soccer. She got her medal since it was the end of the term for that session. She really loves it!
Then we headed North to the Australia Zoo. Our annual passes will expire soon and we wanted to go one more time. We have had really good weather just about every time we have been at the zoo. Not too hot, not too cold. The sun was shining and it wasn't too busy. We started with lunch then a quick walk thru the petting zoo. Time for the Croc show. Then we wandered around seeing the animals. Found a new place they keep about 10 crocs behind the Crocuseum. Watched the tigers get hand fed milk from a carton, the elephants go through their exercises. We had fun spotting the koalas hidden in the trees. All 3 kids really enjoyed the kangaroos this trip. Normally DB won't get out to pet them because he doesn't like walking thru the grass where there is poo. Apparently it was a clean day because he was all about petting and feeding them. Matt was on camera duty so I am actually in some of these pics too!
On our way home we took a little detour to the Glasshouse Mountains lookout. They are these giant 'mountains' just in the middle of flat ground. The kids didn't love the detour but I am glad we checked them out.

Weeks Are Flying By
Nothing like emptying the dishwasher with a baby in your arms
This girl is so full of energy. 6:45 at night and she is still going strong
Out to dinner with our friends.
I Met Someone...
FAMOUS! Tuesday afternoon I saw on Facebook that Ricky Martin & Luke Kennedy was going to be on the Queen Street Mall stage on Wednesday. I have never met or been even close to a celebrity. We have been watching The Voice Australia this season and really like it. EL loves music!
So EL and I hopped on the bus and headed into the city. We got there nice and early. Probably one of the first 30 people. Had a snack then went to stand near the stage and wait. EL did great waiting. I was really nervous about her having to use the toilet right when Ricky and Luke showed up. But luckily that situation didn't arise. I had to hold EL because the barrier was higher than she was tall and there were so many people crowded around us. Of course she fell asleep. Nothing like holding a sleeping 3 year old for 2+ hours. I now know that if I was on Survivor I could totally rock the challenge when they have to hold something in one position for a long time.
The stars arrived and did an interview. EL woke up just as Ricky Martin and Luke Kennedy came down to meet a few people in the crowd. We were lucky enough to get a handshake! And Ricky Martin stopped to tell EL she was beautiful! That made the waiting, holding a sleeping 3 year old for 2 hours, and getting slightly crushed by the crowd worth it. My photos were limited by the 9News flag and said sleeping child but overall the day was a success!
Security guy #115 and I were good friends by the end.
These next 2 pics are the same pic, just different angles. Where we stood vs all the photographers on the stage.

Sports Day
MA & DB participated in the school sports carnival last week. There were 6 events: poison ball (Dodgeball), Javelin throw, tunnel ball, 100 M dash, high jump, and long jump. It was fun to see all the kids having fun. Matt got husband of the day by showing up with coffee & hot chocolate for 8 mums. MA won the 100 M dash for the Grade 2 girls. DB did really well at long jump and got 2nd in the Javelin throw.
