Oh how I have missed you. We belonged when we lived in the WA. Then we moved to IL- no Costco in the area. They started to build one, we moved before it was completed. So when I heard one was coming our direction- I was a happy camper! My friend, Janet, and I ventured up there shortly after it opened. And it was amazing how a store could make you feel like you are back 'home.' American products not normally found here- hello A&W root beer, Dr. Pepper, Cherry Coke, & Ruffles. And most things were well priced. I am of the mind I would rather buy 20 rolls of paper towels at once instead of 1 roll a week every week. And the random stuff never fails to excite me. I got patterned duct tape, which i hadn't found anywhere else here. Perfect for covering clipboards for school. And you know on the way out I got a fountain soda. Less than $2 for the equivalent of a McD's large here. At McD's it would have been over $3.50
We also discovered some great dinner rolls that freeze well, the best Caesar salad kits, and the take & bake pizza was a hit too!
The next time I went back, Matt and the kids were with me. The kids loved all the sample food and we discovered they carry New Zealand Natural Ice Cream- our favorite!
