School Camp 2014

 MA and her classmates went on a 3 day camping trip. It is hard to believe that they are old enough to do this. It is a Aussie tradition that kids go to camp. Can't say I see the USA school getting on board with this any time soon. And no parents went as helpers this year.  MA wrote about her experience.

  On School camp we were divided into four groups. Myself, S, E, & K were in the same group as Ms. A and our instructor was Holly. Holly was very kind. On the 1st day we just talked about ourselves. Then we had lunch, we had pizza and salad. I had meat lovers and Hawaiian. Yum!
  We played a couple of games, life for 2 hours. Then we had dinner and we had some salad and butter and bread and noodles. Then we got ice cream with chocolate sauce and 100's & 1,000's on top. Yummy Yummy.
  We had night games! We played celebrity heads. K got chosen as Katy Perry but she didn't know who she was. Then we played Pin Clip. Me and S were partners an we clipped a pin on the edge of our shirts. We had to try to get each others pin off our partners shirt.  S won. Then we had hot chocolate then we went to bed.
  We tried to get to sleep but we could not because V was talking too much. But some people went straight to sleep. Some people stayed up all night. We woke up after a while.
  Then we had breakfast. It was delicious. We made masks next. After that we went on a bush walk. On the bush walk we got very tired. We went to the top of a mountain. WOW. On the top, we had 1 moment of silence, just to rest, then we had a lamington. Yum. We went into the little bush. Some kids found cow bones and one boy found a face and put it on his face. I found a foot. Yuck. There was a vine and it was like a swing so S got a swing on it. There were lots of cows on the bush walk. Then we went back to camp and heard people talking about E because she fell over and broke her arm! But she did not cry. I felt very sorry. Then we had dinner. We got chocolate mouse. It smelled like coffee. I didn't like it. S did not like it either. Then we went back to our cabins to get our sleeping bags and pillows because we were going to watch Yogi Bear but it didn't work. So we played sleeping lions instead.
  I was so tired. I woke up in the morning and we had breakfast. Then we went creeking with Holly. We had to walk a bit but then we got down to the creek and saw wild raspberries. I tried one and they were yum. We had to get into groups depending on how many brothers and sisters you had. We had to find different bugs and then find them on a sheet. We got to jump off rocks and slide off rocks into the water. It was fun. Next we had an apple and a bar of chocolate. Then we walked to a place that you can paint yourselves.Lunch and some water and it was time to load up on the bus and go back to school.
