Spring Break Quarantine Style

We were all set to head to Florida. Groceries ordered and picked up. Food and drinks to feed 20 people for a week. Then we cancelled the trip. It was a hard decision but we felt with what we knew or didn't know, it was the best decision. It stung a bit extra because it was going to be the whole family. And we had a special surprise planned for the kids at the end. But the  trip can wait. COVID-19 was spreading quickly and the idea of worrying the entire drive there and back plus not knowing what would be open once we got there didn't seem to be the relaxing trip we had planned.
We all had the week off work and school so we headed to our favorite place to relax instead, the lake house. There were a few obstacles getting there. First, DB had stayed with Kara and Jeremy as we had planned to pick him up on the way to FL. Next there was talk from the Governor about shutting down IL and we didn't know if that would affect travel between states. DB in one state, us in another, and trying to get to a 3rd state. Matt loaded up the yukon with the 3 dogs and meet DB down south. The girls rode with Papa and I went with Grandma. There was frantic packing, what do you pack when you don't know what to expect? Trying thru it all to remain calm and not make the kids worried.
Once we got to the lake, things just fell into place. We all calmed down. The weather is usually 10 degrees warmer there and we definitely had more sunshine that the people back home had.
