Introducing Roo

I love a good surprise. And if I can surprise all three of the kiddos, even better. One Saturday afternoon we loaded them up and told them we were going for a drive. They kept asking where we were going, trying to guess, asking how much long. After driving about an hour, we were out in the country at a random house. We unload and walk up to the house. The homeowner met us in front and the kids were still wondering what we were doing. They had baby chicks, dogs, all kinds of animals. I think at this point the kids thought we were there to see some animals and they were happy about that. Then we walked out back and saw 7 adorable Jack Russell puppies! MA was all smiles. DB was a bit nervous and EL liked them but wanted them to keep their distance for a bit. When I said we were taking one home, I heard "really?!?" "We get to keep one?" They were so excited.
Roo was great in the car, slept most of the way. She settled in wonderfully. And the kids are doing really well with her. Being responsible about watching her, cleaning up after her, feeding her.
Another special tidbit is she was born on April 6, Matt's mum's birthday day!
