Party Time- Frozen

The party was at a local park due to the number of guests this year. The Love Street Park is great! Several tables, toilets, lots of green space along the river & a playground for kids of all ages. We had devised a master plan of picking up balloons, dropping off Matt and party supplies at the park to grab a couple tables. Then I would take the kids home with me, feed them lunch, get the rest of the stuff we needed and head back to the park.
When we showed up to the park, 2 hours before the start of the party, I had never seen so many people at one park before. No open tables, in fact, there were people with tents and their own tables set up all over the place! Instant panic mode. I had been balancing the cake on my lap with the plan of leaving it with Matt at the park. The car was filled to the brim with balloons (poor kids couldn't even move in the backseat) & there was no place to even leave the stuff or the cake while I ran home to get a table.
So we drive back home, grab a small table, grab the last couple balloons (that were huge), and shove a couple things for the kids to eat for lunch. Back to the park, cake still on my lap- balancing on my lap around corners and up and down a few hills.
Thankfully by the time we returned to the park 1 party had cleared a table and we quickly grabbed it.
Once the party started things went very smoothly. We played a game where the kids formed teams and made 1 person into a snowman by wrapping them up with toilet paper. Next the girls made Frozen necklaces with chunky beads. They all did a nice job. I premade kits with the beads needed and a pattern for them to follow if they wanted. Girls from 3-8 loved it! To finish up the activities we painted the girls nails with blue and silver sparkles. The quick dry coat on top was perfect so they didn't have to sit around and wait for them to dry.
My friend, Janet, kindly took photos throughout the party. And thank goodness or we would have a dozen from the start and that is all. My friend Heidi helped with all the activities and really helped make the cake amazing with her ideas and handiwork.
We ended up opening gifts later at home due to the party being so busy & the kids playing all over the place.
Dinner that night was suppose to be easy spaghetti. Except we didn't have any sauce or spaghetti noodles. Thank goodness Matt was willing to run to IGA and grab what we needed. I was exhausted!
