Hidden Gem

We went to a park the other day and had a great time. Tons of space for kids to run around. Shade if you wanted it. The kids had a play with their friends.

Birthday dinner

After the park we went home for a quick minute and then off to our friends house to celebrate all the birthdays over the weekend. Mr. Bill really liked the pumpkin pie i made at Thanksgiving so I made another one for his birthday. I have to say it felt very strange to be baking a pumpkin pie in May! The kids ran around and had fun. It was a busy fun filled day!

EL is 3!

It is hard to believe EL is already 3! I feel like it wasn't that long ago we checked out of the hospital with her and stopped at a softball fundraiser on the way home. She attended her 1st softball game when she was 4 days old I do believe. She is spunky and full of energy every day. She loves soccer and is game to try just about anything, especially if the older 2 are doing it. EL loves to dance. If music is on, doesn't matter what she is doing, she will start moving to the beat. And usually some Gangnam style hand moves.
We started the day off with pancakes with sprinkles. Then off to soccer. When we got home we called Grandma and Papa on the iPad to Facetime while we did presents. Shoes, clothes, and a Leappad 2 and 2 games to go with it was the birthday gift haul.
We headed to the park later. Played soccer, kids ran around, rode their scooter and bikes.

Minnie Morning Tea

We had a small group of EL's friends over for her birthday. Some fruit and birthday treats, nothing fancy. The kids played around the house. The mums had a chat. It was delightful morning. EL opened gifts and blew out her candles. Watching two three year olds play hide and seek was pretty entertaining all by itself. EL rocked her Minnie dress I made and one friend insisted on wearing her new Minnie skirt to school pickup that afternoon.

MA wanted to get into the party spirit after school. Put on a pink and grey outfit and some Minnie ears.

Up To My Ears With Minnie

The week before EL's birthday was spent being crafty. Making lots of Minnie goodies for the birthday girl and the gift bags. Pinterest was awesome for ideas. EL even liked looking for stuff and then asking me to make it. I had to stop her several times, her list would have gone on forever!

MA said, " I don't want to just buy EL something. I think I will make her something." 15 minutes later I came down stairs to find she had made Mickey and Minnie paper dolls.  Complete with different outfits and shoes! I love that she thought to make her sister something all on her own.

Little moments from the month of May

DB's class has made several books this year. They rotate who gets to bring them home each night.

The kids have been asking for umbrellas like their friends. I ordered some since we couldn't find the animals they wanted locally. They finally arrived. EL asked if it is going to rain every day now and is upset if I tell her it is suppose to be sunny all day.

Matt and a couple friends went to the Brisbane Broncos rugby game. It was a great night out for some sports action.
