The kids are really into making sure my Mother's day is extra special. The other day in the car MA said, "Mom, we can't go to the flower shop (Cliff's) and get you flowers this year. We have never had a Mother's Day here!" It was sweet she remembered that was the usual gift.
The kids have been whispering to Matt for a couple days, planning all sorts of special things for me. I started the day off with a nice cuddle from all 3 kiddos and was told to stay in bed. Don't have to tell me twice! Once I was called down stairs I saw a wonderful breakfast of eggs and bacon waiting for me. And some thoughtful gifts from my crew. At school this week there was a Mother's Day stall where the kids could shop for mum. DB picked out a #1 mum pen and some nail files. MA gave me a box of drawer liners (she said she didn't know what they were) with pretty pink flower pattern and rose shaped soap. I also got a spa gift certificate from the whole crew. And MA picked out an outfit she doesn't really like because she knows I love the skirt. I feel extra loved today. A nice quiet day at home with my family. What more could I ask for?
