New Beach...

Was worth the drive. We met some friends at the beach they recommended on ANZAC day. Everyone had the day off work and school. Rainbow Bay is just south of the Gold Coast (not sure if it is considered part of it or not.) The beach is much flatter than our usual spot & had large rocks that we walk around. It was a beautiful day. I still can't believe the weather is as nice as it is almost every day. DB played in the sand and the girls ventured out into the water. EL did a little boogie boarding. All the kids went on a shell hunt and spotted 6 crabs. The rocks trapped some water and small fish in them while the tide was out and everyone had fun looking for them. It was a picturesque  beach right were the land juts out. You can see the sky rises of Surfers Paradise across the water. It takes a bit longer to get there but well worth the drive. Definitely won't be our only visit to Rainbow Bay.
