Weekend Times

Saturday we headed to Pekin for a cookout at Grandpa Glen and Grandma Maria's house. On our way out we made a pit stop to wish the birthday girl a happy birthday. EL's twin was turning 4 and we needed to take advantage of being in the same country and see her on her special day and drop off a couple gifts.

At the cookout there was lots of family to catch up with and enjoy their company. It rained off and on all day so softball was cancelled. My parents and Kara joined us at the cookout for a while. Uncle Jason played ball with the kids. MA rediscovered Colby jack cheese. She loves it. EL ate the entire bowl of strawberries. Afterwards we headed home. The kids still didn't make it to bed until after 10pm. The adults enjoyed DQ treats after they were asleep.
Sunday was a lazy morning. Aunt Shirley headed back to her home and we headed back to Normal for more softball. I snuck away that evening between 2 games to see an old college friend. Of course we met up at the Pub II. ISU and Normal look so different. I hadn't been back for a long time.

Leave it to Auntie Kara to have kites in her car!
