Easter 2014

Home from Fiji just in time to dye some eggs for Easter. Nicole hooked us up with some fancy kits. (Australia doesn't have egg dying kits in the shops)

And brown eggs don't turn out as well as white ones. But we still had fun!

Ready to follow the jellybean trail. Let the sugar high begin!

And French toast for Breakfast!!

Vinaka Fiji

DB isn't always a fan of getting his picture taken. These are some of the faces I get when he sees the camera come out.

Who doesn't love to make silly faces?

Cheers to a wonderful holiday. Vinaka (Thanks) Fiji

The Fiji Crew

Can't be serious for too long with this crew.

And they couldn't help having a climb before we left.

Afternoon drinks at the Bilo Bar.

Activity Time

All the kids did Little Chiefs Club a few times. EL seemed the most excited about it. Each day I would read the activities planned and they would decide if they wanted to go to the morning or afternoon sessions. They did arm & face painting, learned Fijian songs and dances, went swimming, made paper airplanes & shell bracelets. EL & MA made some friends at the resort. As soon as we got to the pool they were on the lookout for their buddies.
Grandma, Papa, Matt, DB, & EL did Putt Putt one morning while MA & I hung out at the pool and beach. Papa was the winner from what I heard.
At night there was a movie room they could go to. The kids loved it. Every other night a movie was shown down at the beach. The kids got to see Frozen, on the beach, under the star of Fiji!

We hit the game room up one night also. The boys (big and small) were all about racing the cars. We played ping pong, air hockey, raced horses, and took some shots at Big Buck Hunter.
MA & EL got their hair braided a couple days into our stay. Best decision ever! NO tangled up messes from all the swimming we did. Parental fail however on applying sunscreen to their scalps the 1st day. It took about two hours for each girl's hair. Both say so patiently while it was being done.

All 3 kids made tie dye shirts one afternoon. They turned out great!

DB & I got henna tattoos. Would say this was the most disappointing thing we did on holiday. We were told they would last up to 2 weeks. Reality was we could barely see it after 2 days.

And here is what it looked like when we took out the braids. It took me just as long to take them out as it did to have them put in.
