Roma St Park

We met up with some very good friends that were getting ready to move overseas. One last catchup for both families. Roma St Park is a gem right in the middle of the city. The kids were fascinated by all the spiders and webs along the paths. The boys decided to play some cricket just near the playground. It was like extreme cricket with the hill and gardens surrounding the path they used as the cricket pitch. Unfortunately the game ended a bit sooner than planned when one of the dads made a great catch but injured his foot. The organized chaos of who would go where and get whom lead up to the arrival of an ambulance and surgery the next day for Shane. He was a trooper. Minus the ending it was a lovely day with friends. Til next time R Family!

Cinderella

I had planned a special girls night out for MA & EL. Taking them to get their hair done and then to see Cinderella, which they had been asking repeatedly to see over the school holiday. DB decided he wanted to come along so it ended up being a mom and kids date night. The girls loved having fancy hair. We grabbed a quick bite to eat with Matt and then off to see the movie. Everyone liked it and payed attention the entire time. EL was even able to tell Matt quite a bit about the movie on the way home. It was a special night for us to share together. 

New Farm Park

We were able to catch up with friends for a morning at the park. We took the Citycat in as a special treat for the kids. It's been a while since we all caught up. I loved seeing all the kids playing together and sitting and chatting with the other mums. The kids were all tired after playing hard and the boat ride.

Skateboarding

DB had his first go at skateboarding. A good friend invited him along to their lesson. Of course he loved it! And that night I got a lovely drawing of what equipment he needed. Such a lucky boy to have wonderful friends like these boys.

Easter

I always forget there aren't dye kits here in Australia. So last minute solution was to round up whatever food coloring I had in the pantry and see how it turned out. 

We had an early Easter egg hunt with friends. 

Let the sugar high begin!

School Holiday Activites

We were all looking forward to the school holidays. Two week break from packing lunches and uniforms and the morning rush to get out the door.
