The Moeraki Boulders were amazing to see. The boulders are unusually large and spherical lying along a part of the Koekohe Beach on the wave-cut Otago coast of New Zealand between Moeraki and Hampden. They range in diameter from 1.5-7.0 ft. The kids and Grandma dipped their toes in the South Pacific Ocean before we left. We called it a night once we got into Dunedin. Our 1st choice for camp grounds was booked by the time we arrived. So we explored the city a bit more and ended up at Dunedin Holiday Park. We could hear the waves crashing up on the other side of the hill. Unfortunately we had to sort out food and didn't make it there to check out the beach. The next morning, we had to be bright and early. Off to our next destination.
