Nippers R Us

  MA has been excited to get involved in Nippers for a while. DB- not so much. We kept asking but he was pretty adamant he didn't want to try it. We explained we would be at the beach every Sunday since MA was doing it but we weren't going to force him into it. They have sign on days so we went to The Southport School (wow- nice campus & who could afford to send their kids there?) to do the swim test portion. Each age group had different requirements. MA hopped in and did her swim and float. The test instructor even complimented her on her swimming! Paid our fees and headed up to get the required togs. The suits are so cute! As we walked up DB decided he wanted to participate in Nippers too! Totally made Matt and I happy. I know he has a fear of the jelly fish but he is giving it a go. EL is a bit put out that she isn't old enough. However she will get some mum and dad time while the big kids are in class. No more sleeping in on Sundays for us. I think the beach is the only thing that could motivate us to get up and out the door that early every Sunday for 5 months!

  After we finished up at the sign on we did some beach duty.
