Shufle Up and Deal

Growing up we were a card playing family. My grandma knew just about every solitaire game there was. The adults played Bridge (still no idea how to play that one) & Euchre. I remember playing Skip-bo with my great grandma, Monee. I had been meaning to teach MA how tot play and finally made the time. By the end of the 1st game she was all over it. And soon DB & EL joined in with a little help from Matt & I.
I saw Uno at the shops later the next week and had to get it. I remember games that went on forever. My friend Sara and I would play and play and play. My 3 kids really liked Uno. Especially the Skip card. Nothing like making mum or dad miss a turn!
Thinking back now, we played so many great games. Michigan Rummy. Parcheesi, Slap Stick. King on the Corner. Crazy 8s. Old Maid. Rummy. 500 Rummy.
Matt and I have been playing 500 Rummy lately. It's nice to sit on the patio and play some card in the afternoon instead of having our noses in an Ipad playing some game or reading.

EL confiscated some of DB's old clothes. More and more like her Auntie Kara every day.
