Every year it passes by in a blink of an eye. This year it seemed to go extra fast. Seemed like we could barely stay on top of what needed to be done. Wrapping, baking, cooking, you name it! I think part of it was due to being out of our 'normal' holiday routine. We usually make the menu, each bring a dish or 2 to share. I ended up grocery shopping on Christmas eve. My mom was out finishing up shopping, eek!
Luckily Santa found us in Australia! The kids were so excited and we even sat outside and got to open the gifts that Santa brought us Christmas Eve. I recorded the beginning of Santas visit so I don't have photos of everyone sitting on Santa's lap.
Christmas day was presents galore! As usual it took us all morning to get thru stockings and opening gifts. The kids got toys, books, clothes, & shoes. EL has a nice collection of Dora dolls, DB Spiderman & Legos, & MA got plenty of drawing supplies, journals, and a FurReal Friend Bouncy. Matt & I have some new clothes and shoes. After brunch the pool was calling our name. We managed to hang out most of the day. Until we remembered we didn't have the potato salad or dessert made for dinner. Dinner was a marinaded chicken, spinach casserole, corn casserole, & potato salad. Dessert was Cheese pie- but everyone fell asleep or was too tired so none of it got eaten.
He got another Hess truck to add to his collection from Aunt Shirley
She was so excited about the Dora backpack from LilBlair.
Mia got a special necklace from Stephanie Corfee, her favorite artist (and mine too)
