This week the kids finished up their school year. DB had a Kindy concert that we went to on Wednesday. The program was full of songs and dancing. DB got to lead the kids out on the floor and he smiled the entire time. Walk the Dinosaur was his favorite followed by Jingle Bells. They played drums, counted, & sang about colors. I had to sneak some pics and a video because mobile phones aren't allowed. But quite frankly that is my only camera (since the big camera and video camera went into storage by mistake). Dane got an end of year report and he did wonderful. He was a leader in the class room and made friends with all the students. Not bad for starting school in the last term of the year.
MA got her report card and we are so proud of her hard work this year! All A's and 2 Bs. I was a bit concerned what the grades would be here due to a recent change in the grading system in Australia. The report card itself looks a good deal different that the ones we got in the States. Here each subject gets a grade. They also tell you where in that grade the student is performing. Also, each subject they review what the kids worked on during the semester and how your child specifically did. It was the most informative report card I have ever received. Our MGS pen pals even got a special mention.
It has been a wonderful school year and the kids have exceeded our expectations thru it all. I feel incredibly lucky the kids had the teachers they did, Mrs. Reedman & Mrs. Murphy. Now time to put those uniforms away! Summer holiday here we go!
